A tardigrade male: the head

[ tardigrade male: the head]

We have already discussed the head region of a  Macrobiotus tardigrade   here  and therefore can do without red arrows in this case. The buccal muscles and the so-called macroplacoids come out fine.
A pair of strong, markedly curved stylets, a wide buccal tube and two black eye spots are clearly visible as well. Overall there are no differences between males and females in the head region.
