[]

Achromatic, 10x objective of the Tasco microscope, with standardized (RMS) thread and full inscription. This type of achromatic 10x objective has to be considered as the most used microscope objective (any time, any place) for standard routine work.

"10" is the magnification number.
"0.25" is the numerical aperture (defining the optical resolution).
"160" is the optimum tube length in mm.
"0.17" is the recommended cover glass thickness.

For comparison:
an old apochromatic objective, with standardized thread, nickel plating.
Produced by the Zeiss Company, Germany.

As an example for a better corrected, extremely expensive objective.
Useful for photomicrography.
